On April 10th of this year, it will be 18 years ago that a very special young lady came into my life. Six weeks early and very tiny, she was in a hurry to start making her way in the world and hasn't slowed down one bit since that day! Her first year she was sick alot, labled a "failure to thrive" baby. She was just 6lbs at birth but dropped to 5.5lbs very quickly. Nothing stayed down in her tiny tummy and it seemed she was allergic to everything. Most babies double their birth weight at about 6 months or less, this child took 18 months to do that. I didn't think back then that I would ever see her become the young lady she is today, thank God I was wrong. My baby girl is a beautiful, intelligent, and ambitious young woman. She will graduate from high school on June 1, 2000, at the same time she will also be completing her 2nd year of college. She will continue college for the next 2 years and go on to become an early education teacher. Am I proud?...you bet I am! This page for the month of April is dedicated to my wonderful daughter Jessie Erin. I thank her for being everything a daughter can be, and I thank God for giving me, as well as the rest of the world the priviledge of knowing her. Happy 18th Birthday Honey!!
