My Ten
Favorite Movies
- "Sleepless In
Seattle": Very
cute movie. On my last visit east, while at the ferry
terminal in Bayonne, looking across the harbor at NYC and
the Empire State Building, I couldn't help but wonder,
would things have been different had Faye Wrey met King
Kong at the observation deck.
- "Jaws": Show me the way to go home. Here
in Washington State they place bumps on the lane dividers
on roads, we call it driving by braille.
- "Star Wars": You can say "Luke, I am
your father" into a house fan with really cool
results, try it! (My son showed me this one).
- "Dance With
Wolves": Never
did with the four legged kind, who would lead?
- "The Little
Mermaid": All
things considered, if she didn't have her legs and only a
really nice tail fin, would the prince lose the boat and
still date the perky little mermaid?
- "Jurassic Park":
Who doesn't know
somebody who we would love to present a cute little baby
bouncing velociraptor and a big bag of feed.
- "Lonesome Dove":
Perhaps the best
western I've ever seen, although there was this one best
western back in Jersey that was a lot of fun also....
- "My Cousin
Vinny": I had
problems with my "TH" sounds when I was a yout,
only to find many years later that it was just an accent.
- "Titanic": I may never get the chance to
do it in a car on a ship, maybe a ferry. Quite
impressive, I would never let go....
- "Star Trek, Wrath Of
Kahn": This
almost happened to me once, but luckly I had a sufficient
buildup of ear wax to prevent it.
