A Photo of the Wilderness
Bunny rabbit in the snow,
blending with her bleach-white hair.
A fox could pass,
her unseen,
a winters sunniest day.
Bounding across the smooth undisturbed snow,
bumping low hanging branches of nearby bushes.
Snow falling to the outlay presented.
Stopping for greenery,
eating.
Resting for a moment to sense:
peacefulness seeks no one.
Violent winds now blow softly in the high trees,
wood cracking,
snow floating down lightly, left from the storm.
Ducking in the well hidden abode.
Children, thumb size and as white,
bright patches of snow resting, still,
Cuddle in between to keep warm.
A blanket, living, breathing,
a protection from the elements,
soft security,
mother lays down.
