Children

Children are such perfect things
in their parents wildest dreams.
When compared, real children fall,
due to expectations all.

I watch children as they play,
there's nothing wrong with what they say.
The the grown-ups interfere.
Most children look at them with fear.

Sometimes wonder who is right,
Children's actions, or grown-up's might.
Parents may not known the truth,
Still they punish their own youth.

No matter what the children cry,
excuses parents never buy.
They scream and try to hold their breath.
They get no chance, cause there's no ref.

I'll always try to listen to
the children who have been accused
of actions they have said or done
to find a reason - other than fun.
