Friendship's Rebirth

A solemn oath to give a hand
when a hand is needed.
A little friendship shown to one,
another friendship seeded.

A growth born up from what was once
into what can become.
A seed of love and understanding
once planted isn't done.

To nurture friendship - to mature
takes a little care.
The great and mighty burden - life
was meant for friends to share.

As our seed - our friendship grows
the need to borrow strength
will come to each in their own time,
if need - I'll go great lengths.

For now I can only ask for faith
as we start on our endeavor--
Remember, I'll be there for you;
I'll be by your side forever.
