7 / 9 / 01 - Today I got the sunroof to work. I'm so happy. There was some really old and broken trim that was dangling in some very wrong ways. I took the trim off, and cleaned up the rails that the window rides on and it now works great. The window's border is showing it's age though. It's simply rubber tubing held in place by some sort of fabric. If the original installer can't be contacted I'm sure I can replace it with a bit of attentive and careful work.

This shows the sunroof with the trim that was removed resting where it would've been installed under the glass. There's also some caulk drippings around in there that I scraped off with my thumb. At some point in this car's history some window-shop went caulk-happy with this car. When I find out who, I'm going to ...well actually I probably won't do anything, but at least I'll know not to go there again.
