WHY it made such an impact of my life is not too clear. Perhaps as a young 11 year old pre-teen male who was growing up in a world of PacMan video arcades and increasingly bad pop music, I was fascinated by this simple tale. It provided escapism to my solitary existance, and was filled with enough action and special effects to keep me dazzled.
Of course, all those nice CGI vehicles had me completely hypnotized: the TANKS, the LIGHT CYCLES, the RECOGNIZERS, Sark's Transport Ship, and even the MCP himself sent shivers down my young spine.
Of course, the inclusion of DAVID WARNER, one of my all-time favorite actors, was also another plus in my book!
