I am with a monument to that incredible of incredible Russian Writers
Leo Tolstoy. His profile here is as he appeared in 1854 as a
Naval Lieutenant in the Crimean War. His "Stories of
Sevastopol" capture the essence of this conflict. It is one
the Russian Lost to the British, Austrian and others. It put a
damper on their fleet activities for ten years. If you are ever
in Sevastopol, be sure to visit Panorama. It is so real that you
can smell the gunpowder and blood! Clara Barton was also in this
war. Nursing the wounded on all sides. Tolstoy is Yana's
favorite writer.
