Jim Photo ![]() Here is one of those large Florida Live
Oaks. Not too much older than myself. They keep their
leaves all year around. Grow a large girth and rot from the
inside out. Florida had immense groves of these.
Audobon
while visiting Florida wrote about them. "Only one out of
every three trees are fit for lumber as they rot from the inside
out. They are cut down only to find them worthless." This
is true and they frequently fall on houses nearby!
