I am in the early 70's on the wall at the Foggy Bottom Grocery in
Washington, D.C. This was nearly on campus at George Washington
University where I worked. I would read my poetry from this perch
and draw a modest crowd. I was then the Poet Laureate of Foggy
Bottom section of the city. Cool Dashiki. Here is a poem of
that period.
BackPennsylvania Avenue
A thin ribbon like a tapeworm In the intestines of a putrid Black Cat. While Above a star shines brilliant It writes your name I know your name I carry it with me In the palm of my hand Home Page |
