Replace the Civic fuel pump with a GSR one. IAS included the fuel pump in the swap. |
![]() |
Use the fuel return line for the GSR. |
![]() |
Use the outlet heater hose from the GSR because it is longer than the Civic. I recommend taking this hose off before putting the engine back in. However, you can keep the Civic hose from the firewall to the inlet valve. |

The inlet heater hose from the valve to the engine should come from the GSR. |

I bought a stock intake tube from an older GSR, but the breather tube would not line up. For some reason they changed the location in 2000 so I had to get one for an older year. If you run into this problem, here's what you need from the Acura dealership: Part#10194, Illus#008, Name:PIPE, BREATHER |

Reuse the Civic driver's side mount studs for the B18. You'll need to use some pliers to twist the stud out. |

Reuse the Civic upper tranny mounts and rubber. | ![]() |
You will need an Si or Del Sol A/C bracket for the B-series block. However, keep the Civic motor mount. |

You will need the Integra lower tranny mount, but keep the Civic mount for the chassis. |

This is the upper tranny mount for the Integra, which you will not need. |

Here is the upper tranny mount for the Civic which will need to go on the GSR tranny. |

The reason why you need to use the lower engine mounts for the civic is that there is a plate on the Integra mount. This plate gets in the way of the hump in the chassis (shown in the next picture) |

Here is the mounting point for the lower mounts. Notice the bump in the middle which will not accomodate the Integra mount unless you cut it. |

Locate the throttle cable through the firewall. Just twist the black thing 90 degrees and it will come out easily. |
![]() |
Once twisted, you can pull out the cable and replace it with the Integra cable. |

I noticed that the cable was still too long even after fixing it to a bracket on the firewall. So a simple and easy fix was to add a 1/2" nylon spacer on the cabin side of the cable. Afterwards, adjust the cable on the throttle body and it'll be good as new. |

Once I got everything in and all the mounts on, I added the usual engine oil, radiator fluid, and tranny oil. I was curious if the tranny fluid had been drained and to my surprise there was still a lot in there. This is what came out...good thing I checked! (pic caption: yes, this is old tranny fluid!) |
