SCHOOL SUCKS!
I am in my Senior year of high school at the
Governor's School for Government and International Studies.
(AKA the school whose name does not it into any regulation size blank.)
School makes me make this noise.
Well, I am sick of school. 12 years. 12 very long years.
Very very very long years.
I am doing pretty well in everything but
math, as you can see from my last years report card, but I need to stop thinking about the past and look to the future. This year is gonna be cool. I am going to be a senior, the one the little freshmen are scared of.
I remember my first day of high school. I didn't know where I was going and the seniors had decided to start hazing freshmen again. That was fun for them until the administration caught on and got mad at everyone. It was not fun for us.
I was coming out of my first class and I didn't know where I was going. All of a sudden some big senior jumped out from behind the lockers and screamed.
I was not amused. I was scared out of my head. I heard later that day that seniors had forced one freshman to crawl down the hall on his hands and knees and bark like a dog. I realized that high school was gonna SUCK!
And I was right.
Up until now. . .
Anyway, the reason that this year isn't going to suck as badly is that I have a mentorship.
Yes, a mentorship.
Loosely defined that means that I get to spend the first half of every other day goofing off with this really cool artist. He is a puppeteer and he works at the Virginia Fire and Police Museum.
Mondays and Wednesdays I don't actually have to go to school.
J
yay.
For those of you who know who I am and want to know what classes I have so you can all switch into them to be with me, my schedule is right here.
Greek Civilization sucks. Don't take it ever.
I also just read the book 1984 for about the fifth time. I think it is one of the best books ever written. Here's a little about it.
I'm also a member of the STUN club
(Stop Tobacco Use Now)
Unfortunately we have to wear these name tags. I think i am going to start a page devoted to name tags and creative things people have done with them, but as of right now, I only have 2.
(ps, i don't really look like that, i just got Eiren to do my makeup)
Anyway… I am now faced with the huge problem of what to do with my life after High school.
When jill and I discuss not going to college, we always return to the phrase:
Funny how that isn't even an option.
Oh well. Looks like more school.
The hardest part about the college search is that I have no idea what I want to do with my life, because for some strange reason,
Undecided
just doesn't have the same ambitious ring it used to.
Well, here are the colleges that I am planning to apply to. My mom wants me to go to a college instate. She "wants to be able to come and take me to lunch"
I want out.
New York
baby.
All the way
I have lived here all of my life. Everyone says that I have to get out and experience life in a place other than the South. The touristy places here sell confederate flags for craps sake.
Here are the colleges I am interested in as we speak. the list is ever shrinking, so if you haveany good advice for or against any of these colleges, please tell me. I need all of the help i can get. I have no idea what I am doing.
