I love animals. Almost all kinds. I used to have rabbits but when the last one died I decided not to get another animal since I just don't have the time to look after them properly. This lasted about 6 months and then I got an aquarium because I didn't want to be completely animal-less and it requires little time (just throw in some food once a day and do a water change every 2 weeks right?) It's rather small (100 litres) and I had one suckermouth catfish called Schnuffel, some (rather fat) barbs, some dwarf cichlids and a few others I don't know the English names of. Sadly Schnuffel died in November 2000. Then the dwarf chiclids (supposedly peaceful!) started tyrranizing everyone else so I moved them to a second (smaller) tank. Also in November, I set up a new 250 litre tank for African Chiclids which is currently home to 3 Aulonocara and 5 Yellows. One of the Aulonocara girls is already carrying eggs after a few weeks. Latest addition was a tank which a photographer we know bought because he needed to take photos of fishes for a customer. When we arrived to the rescue half of them were already dead. Of the rest two died but three are still alive and kicking. So I now have four fish tanks and, thankfully, a tolerant husband :-)
