Willlie
Channel Buff
I was asked to give my bio so here it is. My name is Bill and I'm a Native Texan, having lived out of State for
approximately 2 years, 1 month, and 21 days, but then who's counting.
As we say here, "You can take the boy outta Texas, but you'll never get
Texas outta the boy!!" So I came home.... Been here ever since... I am
a Consulting Engineer working for a private firm doing primarily
municipal engineering .... roads, water systems, sewer systems, bridges, you
know .. all the boring stuff. I am a graduate of Texas A&M University
(Gig 'Em AGGIES!!!) in Civil Engineering. Railroading is also a hobby
of mine; I like trains. I am a Life Member of the National Model
Railroad Association and the Lone Star Region of the NMRA, and a member of
three different RR clubs, one RR preservation museum and one RR
historical society; actively promoting the "hobby" of railroading.
I have a daughter, Rachel, who is the beautiful mother of my wonderful
grandson, Addison . She's the joy of my life although she
doesn't have as much time for me right now - she's married to a youth
minister, Derick, and they have left God's Country (Texas)and now live north
of the Red River in Purcell OK. I have a son, Bennett, a Petty Officer
in the Navy, studying Nuclear Engineering and is headed for submarine
duty.
I have met quite a few really special folk right here in Fun &
Games. LOVE the gtg's we have infrequently, too .... which, btw, BJaye,
tis time for another one
(;-)))
I enjoy 40's Fun & Games. the people are warm, friendly, fun and even
though this *is* cyber space, I have a sense of "genuine-ness" that
doesn't exist elsewhere. I stumbled into meeting most of the (so-called)
originals of this channel late one night when I wandered somewhat
aimlessly into another 40's channel... When BJaye and Carol started this
channel I moseyed down the cyber road to here. So far I enjoy the time here,
y'all is good folks!
When y'all gets tired of me, just nod, I'll wander on off down the
cyber road to another place to sit for a spell... but ya gotta gimme a
minnit to put my shoes back on, I have gotten real comfortable here...
