my life
Well, I figure it’s about time to update my personal info on this page. For those of you who’ve read the old stuff, most of it still applies. For all my new visitors, you’re in for a treat!

If We Passed In The Street This Is What You'd See
The first thing you’d notice about me would probably be my height. Because I’m a tall, tall girl. Six feet, one and a half inches, to be exact. And to answer the two most-common questions I get when I divulge this fact... No, I’m not a model, nor have I ever modeled. And no, I don’t play for the WNBA. Anyway, I have a delicate structure (read - I’m bony), long, toned limbs, and your basic hourglass figure. I have short, pixie-cut hair, the color of which is subject to weekly change, and dark blue eyes. Thanks to years and years of brushing faithfully twice a day, I have good teeth, which you’ll see, because I like to smile a lot. I’m a big smiler. As for my attire, think your basic punkrock girl... baggy, lowriding pants, some sort of T-shirt or ripped-up sweater, and most importantly, my Doc Martens boots. I don’t really wear make-up on an everyday basis, but I do wear jewelry... any amount of silver rings, necklaces, earrings, etc. I have a few tattoos too, a four-leaf clover on my shoulder, a Celtic trinity symbol on my lower back, and an orchid on my ankle. Lastly, if we were to pass in the street, you’re bound to notice that I’ve got a cigarette in one hand, and my husband in the other. Which leads us to...

If You Talked To Me This Is What You'd Learn
Yes, it’s true. Wild woman Tay is a one-man gal. I’ve been married to my amazing-in-every-way husband Dave since March 24th of 1997. He is simply the greatest, most loving man in the world, and I’m completely smitten for him. He’s 25 years old... four years older than me. He has gorgeous shoulder-length black hair, and beautiful brown eyes - just all-around super-sexy. Thankfully, he’s taller than me, at around six feet, five inches - the difference between us is just enough so that I can rest my head on his shoulder, something I love to do. He works as a radio producer and sometime DJ at a hard rock station. It’s great... I can call anytime, and they’ll play whatever song I feel like hearing. As for my job... it’s somewhat more blue-collar. At the moment I’m working as a cashier at a gas station. It’s a minimum wage job, but it’s very people-oriented, which suits my extroverted self. The people there are great, and so are (most of) the customers. The job is just to help pay for my school bills though, as I’m in my second year of a Film Studies-Communications double major, with a minor in foreign languages. I love all my classes, and find them both challenging and interesting. It’s a heavy workload, but I thrive on the pressure.

My two greatest passions in life are (besides Dave, of course) are music, and my car. Now, music... music fuels my soul. Like I said earlier, I’m a punkrock girl. I’m big into the founding punk bands from the West Coast (mainly LA and Seattle) of the 80’s such as Nirvana (my absolute favorite), Soundgarden, The Melvins, The Circle Jerks, Pearl Jam, The Meat Puppets, The Dead Kennedys, TAD, and many, many more. I’m not a big fan of today’s music, with a few exceptions, the biggest being the Foo Fighters and Beck. I have the biggest crush on Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters, and have since I was 14 and he still played with Nirvana. I got to meet him this summer at their concert, and it was very cool.

It’s obvious (to me, anyway) that one would need a wicked car to play all this awesome music in... enter my 1976 AMC Gremlin. It’s in mint condition, fully restored, and, I should add, bright purple. I’ve had it since I was 16 years old when my dad and I towed it home from the junkyard.

And so we move on to my family... I was raised by my non-divorced parents (a rarity these days) in Arizona. I have a twin sister, Gabrielle. Yes, we are identical. I love my family a lot, but don’t see them much these days. Other than them, the only family I have is my husband, and our two cats, Messier - named after the hockey legend - and Carrot - named because she’s orange. We all squeeze together in a tiny, one bedroom-and-not-much-else apartment.

Finally, in my spare time - those few minutes a day when I’m not working or sleeping - I love to sing along to whatever’s in my CD player at the time, read books by authors such as Anne Rice and Patricia Cornwell, jog, play my guitar - I’m not very good, unfortunately - cook, snowboard, rollerblade, and race the aforementioned Gremlin.
