College

I wasn't the typical high school teenager, but I think I'm making up for it that now- in college. That's not to say that I fit a certain college stereotype, but I do have a lot in common with other Co-op College students.

College can be stressful, but compared to other times in life- it's not bad place to be.

I love living on campus. It's so much easier than having to and from places. If you want to see someone, they are usually only a short walk away. I've definately changed since I started college. In high school. College was this whole other life, way off in the distance. I had some really outlandish ideas about what I thought college would be. My college search was this huge ordeal that I organized over and over again. I don't even know how many schools I applied to- at least 10. Some where in cities, some in the middle of nowhere. Located anywhere from Maine to Ohio to Virgina. And of all the schools, Merrimack wasn't even one of them. Imagine That.

That's the epitome of my freshman year. Nothing that I expected happened. But I made it through and now I think that I've grown because of it. The school that you go to shapes so much of your life. The people you meet and the things that you become involved are all directly related to the environment that you are in. I'm pretty sure that my life would have been very different if I had not decided to go to school in Massachusettes. You could spend hours playing the what-if game. Questioning all your decisions and choices. Sometimes that can be amusing and healthy because it makes you think about the things that you have done and where you are headed. But sometimes it's just better to not dwell on things that you can't change.
