Chase Me

May 1994
by Georges Rosemann

If somehow I were to become your prey
I would welcome it every day.
I would lead you on quite a merry chase,
Strewn with red roses and pretty white lace,
Always keeping a happy pace,
With your sunshine on my face.

So if you really would like to catch me,
You'll first have to rise up and chanse me;
And you will find me near a peak real high,
In a valley, looking at your bright sky.
