Prescription for a Nurse

June 1994
by Georges Rosemann

On the job you're such a wonderful nurse,
On each shift you treat and cure every curse.
But by the end of your very long day,
When at last you get to come home and lay,
I can just see you beginning to yearn,
For yourself to be a patient in turn.

So let me give you a special prescription.
Something for you I would do with affection:

Draw a warm bath for your leisure,
Adding some beads for good measure,
With bubbles a plenty for pleasure.

Prepare a light meal, rather artistic,
An entree with herbs, quite aromatic,
With two candles lit, softly romantic.

Then off to bed for the last and the best,
Where in my arms you can cuddle and rest,
Completely contented back in your nest.

------

You really should try it.
I think you would love it.
If you let me fill it,
I'll be happy to give it.
