An Undying Love

by Micheline Hickey-Ross

To my love, my heart bleeds,
It is something that my heart heeds.
The warmth bids me near,
My inside tremble with fear.
Your strength will defeat my body,
Leaving me soft and volunerable.
Could you really love me?
My spirit dances all around,
Making it hard to come down.
A silence is covered upon our lips,
A beat of my heart, skips.
A forbidden love, so warm, so deep,
So peaceful, we need not speak.
From dusk 'til dawn
Our love will carry on.
Oh, sweetness of love, to sleep,
My heart for you, to keep.
