Silver Star Outlaws

This page is for the family that I had while over seas in the Army. I was In South Korea from March of 1990 through November of 1991. About 6 months into my tour I found a lil country and western bar in TDC, right out the gate from Camp Casey. I stopped in to see what it was like and was met with a warm smile from people wearing these hats that had on them Silver star Outlaws. There was a friend of mine that was on the same base had been going to the bar and said it was a great place to go to. Well after the first night there I know that this was the bar for me and I started going more often to this bar. One day my friend asked me if I wanted to join the family? This is where you would be a hat holder, but there is more to just being a hat holder. You have a duck hunt and you learn the creed. Which in it's self means alot. I got passed all the duck hunt quiestions and was voted into the Family. Ernest(my friend/brother) gave me the family name of QUICKTIME. Which was for they way I walk even with a hang over.*L* The saying on my hat says: That's my natural pace. Over the time that I was there I made alot of friends and still keep intouch with a few but I don't keep intouch with enough of them. The family over there was great and you felt like you had a place in Korea and friends that if you needed to talk to them they would listen and try to help you as best they could. Your family in the states was there for you too but the family in Korea was much closer and understood what you where going through.

SILVER STAR OUTLAW CREED

Outlaws come in all sorts of sizes.

Some large, other small, short or tall

They all have their own personal guises.

It's not the hats that set them apart.

Nor is it fancy boots, jeans or belt.

It's the true love and friendship they give.

And that comes straight from the heart.

Cause when things get really touch.

And your other friends,*seem to stray*.

There's one thing you can always count on.

An outlaw is only a phone call away.

So why is a SILVER STAR OUTLAW more dear and special than any?

The plain truth is, you can pick your friends.

Butyou're damn sure stuck with family.
