Primary GIS duties
consisted of using Arc/INFO, ArcView, ArcGIS, ArcIMS and various programming
languages to create online GIS and Geographic Information Management Systems
for the US Army Corps of Engineers according to the client’s specifications. GIS responsibilities
included feature theme development; creating, populating and editing
databases; rectifying imagery; programming customized interfaces for each GIS
project. Also performed various editing processes on analog and digital
imagery utilizing color scanners and graphics editing software. Created and maintained
multiple GIS-related websites as well as acted as System Administrator to web
and GIS servers. [http://gis.sam.usace.army.mil] Developed user manuals
for various GIS Project utilities. Prepared and conducted various
presentations and workshops related to GIS.
Constructed project related reports and coordinated project issues
with key people inside and outside the organization. ·
