California Girls- The Beach Boys
I loved growing up in California. School was good. Sports were still fun. My family gave me everything I needed, and I liked all my friends. Life was good. I used to ride my bike everywhere. Everywhere except school. We only got to that once or twice, but what great days those were. It was just like getting mail; I felt so grown up and important. Even just riding around with my friends made me feel sort of independent. We could go anywhere- the park, the store, my friends' houses, anywhere. Just as long as we were home for dinner. It was great. "I wish they all could be California girls." There was always something to do. I cried while in the backseat while my dad was driving down the road perpendicular to San Andreas Dr. because I was upset that I was leaving all this. I wanted to always be a California girl. It was part of who I was.

Here I Go Again- Whitesnake

At the last holiday party I went to at San Ramon, I heard this song over and over. A couple guys really liked it and just kept replaying it.
