Road Trip

        I love Driving- it doesn't matter where.  But it doesn't hurt to have an
        amazing destination to look forward to.  This picture isn't mine, but it is
        exactly what I saw hour after hour while driving to Roanoke.

     While I was driving to Virginia, I didn't fully comprehend the fact, that in just a month, I would be on the road again. My car, although young, is far more experienced than any other Neon. It is for that reason alone that I love my car. It scares me that I seems to crush so easily, but other than that small detail, it's been really good to me.

Starting May 21, I drove out to Berkeley with my friend and it took us ten days.

day one/two--> NJ through to Oklahoma where I got my first speeding ticket of the summer.

day three--> Colorado Sand Dunes

day four--> Garden of the Gods, Red Rocks Ampitheatre, and the Colorado National Monument in Fruita

day five--> Utah, Arches National Park, Gooseneck Campground

day six--> Arizona, Grand Canyon Campground
We couldn't decide whether or not to "waste" the time going to Mesa Verde

We decided to go because it would be free with our Golden Eagle Pass. Or so we thought. We almost ran out of gas and had to fly through the check in area to avoid paying. We felt guilty about not paying the five dollars, but it really wasn't very amusing.

day seven--> Las Vegas

day eight--> California- Death Valley, Motel 6

day nine--> Sequoias National Forest, Yosemite campground

day ten--> Yosemite, arrived at Berkeley
