The Hard Rock Cafe
In 1969 two American guys
were in London,
looking to have a real great american hamburger.
After a while they came to the conclusion that surprisingly
they found nowhere their real favourite american food.
This brought them the idea to open on June 14th in 1971
a restaurant in a former Rolls Royce store.
In this restaurant plenty of american food can be eaten.
They named their restaurant
Hard Rock Cafe,
and it soon became a very famous place for musicians,
who from time to time offered their guitars, trousers, ...
to decorate the whole thing.
Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, the Beatles,
and so many others left some things form themselves there.
Interesting to know is that Madonna
even gave away her underwear (?).
If I am traveling around
somewhere in the world,
and I know that there is a Hard Rock Cafe in the neighbourhood,
I can not come back to Belgium without having visited it,
if possible of course.
The following Hard Rock
Cafe's boys and girls are still talking
about my visit:
- Hard Rock Cafe Madrid (Spain) in December 1994
- Hard Rock Cafe Antwerp (Belgium) in October 1996
- Hard Rock Cafe Tokyo (Japan) in November 1996
- Hard Rock Cafe London (UK) in May 1997
- Hard Rock Cafe Paris (France) in November 1997
I am also a fervent collector
of their T-shirts and glasses.
If you are looking for someone
to accompany you to some Hard Rock Cafe
somewhere in the world,
just let me know !
