My Student Life

My school carreer started at the age of 2,5.
I went to the kindergarten in Oud-Turnhout,
which is now called "Deltaschool".
Here I learnt to draw, to paint, to cut, ....
all kind of things for which your parents
are very proud that you know them.
But as a kid at the kindergarten,
I also found out about lots of mischiefs,
which of course I enjoyed (and even still enjoy !) a lot.

After my kiddy-years they taught me
to read and write in the primary years of that same school.
Here I was from the age of 6 until 12.

Afterwards when my puberty-years were there,
I was at the Holy Sepulchre secondary school in Turnhout.
The first 2 years I did there the general field of study.
In my 3th and 4th year, I studied Modern Languages,
where I learnt the following languages:
Als u Nederlands spreekt, schrijf mij dan een berichtje in het Nederlands !
If you speak English, write me a message in English !
Si vous parlez Français, ecrivez-moi un message en Français !
Si hable Espanol, escribame en Espanol !
The 5th and the 6th year
of my secondary school carreer
at the Holy Sepulchre,
I studied Computer Sciences.

After my secondary school at the "Holy Sepulchre",
I started college there to become
a regent Maths, Biology and Physics.
This seemed to be the wrong choice,
and I did not succeed that year,
because I gave up !

Finally after 2 years I found the studying field
in which I wanted to graduate.
I started Computer Sciences at
"Katholieke Hogeschool der Kempen"
During those 3 years I had
the most wonderful time in my life !
I learnt most of the subjects I really like
AND I had a great student life.

I was a member
of the student club at KHK,
named "Atomos".
They organized frequently all kind of parties
with lots of music and lots of beers.
And it was during those festivities that I really
experienced all the
"good and bad things"
about the Belgian beers,
(plenty of jaw, afraid of nothing,
hang-over, throwing ups, ...)
My favourite festivity was (is)
"cantus".
For those who do not know what this is,
well the students come there to have a "singing evening".
They sing lots of famous songs like
"Io Vivat", "Gaudeamus Igitur",
"Krambambouli"
and a few better known
"Tom Dooley", "I come from Alabama",
"I've been a Wild Rover", "John Brown's Body Lies".
And in between the songs there is plenty
of beer to be drunk.
Those were lovely hours !!!
