*you step in... hoping to adopt a dragon... you wonder what lays ahead of you... you look left... your look right... and then you walk straight ahead... you come across a door that has a sign on it saying "Enter To Find An Egg"... you open the door... creaking... and are startled to see a huge... giant... dragon... standing there... right in front of you... you blink once.. you blink twice... and then you step forward and smile softly at the dragon.. and... to your amazement... the dragon smiles back at you... then.. suddenly... it begins to speak*



Welcome to my cave. I am Burnush, the queen of this lair. I have risen to mate, and I have a lovely little clutch of eggs. Now, what is special about these eggs is that YOU can adopt them. The only thing is that there are certain rules that you MUST follow to be able to adopt one of my little eggs.

*you nod to Burnush in approval... and she smiles softly at you.. then gets a stern look onto her face*

Now, to adopt one of my eggs:
* you MUST have a homepage, and you MUST provide my little one with a home forever and always!!!!
* your site MUST be kiddie safe!! I need to know that my dragons will be safe when they grow up!!
* you MUST have other "pets" on your page (can be dragons or other animals)
* you MUST "impress" me with your site to recieve an egg, and I will then choose the proper egg for your page (see below for more details)
* you MUST love my little one for forever and always, no matter what type of egg you get!!
* you MUST promise to me to follow the above rule!!

Do you think that your page meets all of the above requirements? Well, if yes, than, read on!

Now, in order for me to get you an egg, you MUST know what types of eggs you COULD recieve!!

Queens: Queens are the MOST powerful of ALL of the dragons. They are the "main" part of the royal dragons, along with the kings. They are ONLY females!! There are ALWAYS 1 per clutch, and they are EXTREMELY hard to adopt. They are VERY special, and they lay the majority of the eggs here. They can only mate with the other royal dragons (kings, oranges, and purples). When mating with a king, the queens will lay MORE than usual (just so you know).

Kings: The RAREST of all of the eggs. There is no specific amount of kings, but there ARE some. They are ONLY males!!! When they are given out, the recipeint does NOT know that they recieved a king. They are just as powerful as the queens, and not MORE powerful than them, either. They are the "main" part of the royal dragons, along with the Queens. They can ONLY mate with the queens.

Oranges: Can be both male and female. They are part of the royal dragons. There are about 3-5 of these per clutch, and they are pretty hard to get. The females can ONLY mate with the oranges, purples, and blues. Their clutch sizes vary between 4-10 eggs, depending on which dragon they mate with.

Purples: These are part of the royal dragons. There are about 4-7 of these per clutch. They can be both male and female. The females can ONLY mate with the oranges, purples, blues, and greens. The females clutches vary from 3-8 eggs, depending on who they mate with.

Blues: These are the "average" dragons. They can be both male or female. There are about 6-10 of these per clutch. The females can only mate with oranges, purples, blues, or greens, and their clutch sizes vary from 2-5 depending on who they mate with. The males can mate with any female dragon.

Greens: Greens are the "least" powerful of all of the dragons, but not any less needing a home. They are both male and female, and in every clutch the most color of all of the eggs is the greens (about 10-18 of these per clutch). The females can mate only with the purples, blues, and greens, and their clucth sizes vary from 1-3 eggs depending on which dragon they breed with.

Specials: These are the second rarest. There is no actual amount of these given out, but they are extremely special. They are only given out to those who have REALLY impressed me, and they are only given out when there are no king eggs in the clutch. Their colors vary, and there are never 2 of the same color for these dragons. They are ONLY female, and they can ONLY mate with the oranges or purples. Their clutch sizes vary from 5-8.
*NOTE*- Do NOT, I repeat, do NOT "ask" for a special. If you do, your application will be deleted!!!

Now, some other "basic" breeding things. 2 eggs per clutch of the "mating" dragons are reserved for the 2 parents keepers. If they each want one, then they will each get one. If only one wants one, then the other doesn't get one. And, if they both don't want one, then they both don't get any. The colors vary depending on the 2 colors of the breeding pair, and ONLY the adults may mate. However, they CAN become engaged BEFORE they are adults, as soon as they have hatched. You will "arrange" the pairs, and then you will check to make sure that it is okay with me. After this has been done, and both dragons are adults, they can lay their first clutch. They can only lay 1 clutch per 2 clutch's here at the Weyr, that way I don't have (hopefully) all of the couples breeding at the same time!!!
