GAME OBJECTIVES SUMMARY - There are 4 game strategies to follow: trying to make the loop shot; stopping the 3 villains on the first step of their advance to get the Extra Ball; hitting the central spot targets to push the villains back if they get beyond the first step of their advance; and building pyramids, with a pyramid comprising 6 Qubes. The only other thing to remember is which flipper button to press!
VILLAIN LAMPS - There are 7 lamps in the path of each of the 3 Villains: Ugg, Wrong Way and Coily. One Villain at a time will advance his lamp towards Q*Bert's Pyramid, to try to take away Qubes from it. When the seventh lamp is lit, a Qube is removed and that Villain's lamps extinguishes. The time between the Villains' attacks and the speed of the Villains' Attack lamps lighting will increase depending on the number of Qubes lit in Q*Bert's Pyramid - i.e. the more Qubes lit, the faster the Villains' attack.
MEMORY - All Qubes, Pyramids, centre Villain lamps and Villian Attack lamps are remembered from ball-to-ball for each player, except in 5-ball play, when the centre VIllain Attack lamps are not remembered.
OUTHOLE BONUS - Scoring: 20000 for each completed Pyramid, and 3000 for each lit Qube at the end of each ball.
EXTRA BALL - Awarded when all 3 centre Villain lamps are lit - i.e. all 3 villains have been stopped at the first lamp of their approach. In 3-ball play this is remembered form ball-to-ball, but in 5-ball play you need to stop all 3 dead in their tracks with 1 ball!
