Like Germany, Japan must take a offensive strategy in order to be successful. Japan should concentrate its focus on Asia. If you want to destroy the U.S. navy in Hawaii, fine. Only don't use all of your ships like many players do. The United States can build up another navy and wipe your ships off the face of the earth. Rather, use the sub and some air power to damage the United States navy. In the first round, you should take back Manchuria, if the Russians took it over. Otherwise, attack Soviet Far East, China, and India if it is weak or the U.K. player moved the transport. If these operations are successful, then in the next round build an Industrial complex in Manchuria. Make sure it is well defended. Once you have that IC, you should be able to walk right through Asia. The allies do not have the manpower to stop you. If you want to, you can try to buy a fighter every round, so you can have a powerful airforce. Make sure you put pressure on Russia so that you can help Germany take it over. Once Russia falls, all you will have to do is get to the Magic 84!
