  Geocities is just one of the companies that gives free homepages, so sign up for one to get you started.
Another one is angelfire or websight . The last two does not offer as much as geocities though, but easier to get "space" for.

  After signing up and getting space, just come back here so i can start on your new homepage.

  Then i will need to get information from you, before going any further,go through my homepage and see what i am able to create. This will also give you ideas to place on your future homepage.

  Please answer these questions as specific as you can. I advise that you be picky for now.

What type of background do you want (be very specific, if you have seen a background some where else tell me the URL/address)

Give me the colors you want for: the text, links, and visited links.--compare it to objects to be precise--

Now the long one... type up the text you want in it.
