It was so cool . . . !
Perfect place for a Phantom affair, complete with
a Wrought-Iron Chandelier!
(no, it didn't fall)
There was very little that was "traditional" about this wedding. . .
Did I mention that Sunday and I had been married before, and divorced?
We were first married on November 8, 1968
Boy, were we young . . .
Sunday was 17, I was 18.
SURPRISE #1:
Yes, we re-married on our 30th Anniversary!!
SURPRISE #2:
We planned the entire affair in secret, not telling anyone
except our children, until we mailed out the invitations, four weeks before the wedding.
SURPRISE #3:
It was a Masquerade Ball, costumes required for everyone!
My thanks to everyone for being such good sports.
SURPRISE #4:
It was beautiful, seeing all those people show up in costumes so surprised, with Sunday and I in jeans, boots and cowboy hat.
Totally shocked EVERYONE!
Shocked everyone again, and even though no one said it (except in jest), I'm sure they thought we were over the edge.
Especially Sunday, for getting into the spirit of the affair as she did.
As is befitting a Non-Ttraditional Wedding, we started with Lunch.
To throw everyone off, we showed up wearing Western outfits.
After lunch, Sunday and I quietly slipped out to change...
