Verification and Valuation Support Branch - a closer inspection... | ||
![]() Let's start with this rogues gallery. From left to right: There's Peter, one of the our resident loss adjusters. Was out in Hong Kong around the same time I was, and yes, knows what is a gweilo. Next comes David, another one of those creatures known as adjusters. He has been to Hong Kong, and does not know what a gweilo is BUT horrifyingly...knows someone I used to work for in Hong Kong. (It's a small world, ain't it?) The rose amongst the thorns is Chirine (who will kill me for I keep mis-spelling her name). Reputedly a very good belly-dancer, though this assertion has not been supported by any evidence despite interrogatories, and I suspect, will be disposed of by way of 100% discount. Last but not least, is Vikram. Our man from India. Small world - we both worked for KPMG. (Then again, KPMG is a worldwide organisation etc etc...) |
