What Natacha didn't tell us was that we were going to be
sailing on a real SAIL boat - I mean we have all seen those boats by
Jardin Anglais, but this was a an amazing vessel! The Neptune we are told, is the last big boat of its kind to have been built in the shipyard of Locum in France, in 1904. She was used to carry stone from Meillerie and gravel from Vieux Rhone, both near Locum to various locations around Lake Geneva. We were sailing on a piece of history... |
