Scenes
from my farewell... |
|
My farewell party #1 was at Chez Jacky, and it was also the day the movers came to pack me up. It was, as is always for me, emotionally draining to watch all my worldly possession get bundled up into brown parcels, and get stacked up by a corner. But then... after it all, it was time to say good bye.. | |
Michelle was entrusted with giving me my
present. It was a Maurice Lacroix watch. Amazing. I've
only ever bought one watch, and that was on the instruction of a great
lady I was then seeing.
It was a fun evening, with banter, gossip, speeches... I needed that evening as I spent the day watching my worldly possessions getting packed into boxes. Always depressing, that. |

Thierry gave me a few gifts: one was an office pass holder - a reminder of my first year, when I always wore the pass. The second was a book on Professionalism - something we had talked about once or twice. And the last, was a copy of Milton's "Paradise Lost" - "..one day, you will read this and know what you are leaving!" |
