My Poems

Well, thank you for your interest in my poetry. Here I have a few of my many, many poems that I've written these past several years. I hope you enjoy them and I'd be glad to hear any of your requests or comments!

Please see my ode to Princess Diana at the bottom of the page.

"Sacred Indian Dance"

The sound of the drum

Adrenaline racing

A rhythm so steady

Heavy feet pacing

Voice breaks in

Like a wolf's peircing howl

Spirits flying

As high as the owl

Bells on my ankles

Feathers in my hair

Paint on my face

Hands in the air

My mind and body

Going into a trance

This is called

The Sacred Indian Dance

"Heavens"

Stars,

So bright with love,

Give me your light in my eyes!

Moon above,

For me, Kiss the sweet sunrise.

Tell me,

What is it like to have lips so warm?

Sweet from honey - golden rays,

The sun so bright, in any form,

Is so worthy of thy praise.

"Sweet January"

Sweet January,

I see myself in your air;

Sweet January,

I feel your bite in my skin fair;

Your piercing winds smell cold and light;

Sweet January,

I am the flurries in your night.

"Gray Wolf"

(Written pertaining to a fictional character in the novel I am writing)

Your name is like an arrow

Peircing into my spirit

Your tender ways like a sparrow

My heart can almost hear it

Your hair as dark as night

Your eyes as black as coal

Looking deeply into mine

You steal away my soul.

"A Mere Moment"

Your eyes

Peirced deeply into my soul

Leaving scars in my deepest

Emotions;

My heart you stole

Leaving your potent

Potions.

One monent

One stare

My heart became

Weak;

The mere moment you were there

To my heart

Your heart did

Speak.

"Poisonous Butterfly"

Butterfly come to me

With soft colored wings

Your beauty calls

Your beauty sings

Your beauty sets me free.

Touching my skin

I feel your fire

The ecstacy feeds

In your soft colored attire

I join you in your sin.

Sacred youth

In blood emersed

Butterfly's wings covered my sight

Her deeds rehearsed

Tainting the truth.

"God is Love"

Those who call me selfish

For loving O mighty God above

Have never felt true love.

God is LOVE.

Without God, we would not love

But hate our fellow man.

Those who love

Have God's touch

Wether they believe in him or not.

Their souls know

Deep down inside.

"AtHiEsT"

I do not need God,

I am a god in my own eyes.

I am miserable

But I don't know why.

If there is a God, why doesn't

He hear my cries?

I don't need a god but myself.

I don't want to believe in consequence.

If I believe it must be so,

I am my god.

I find pleasure in doing wrong

I must get even with God.

But, wait!

There isn't a God.

I must convince myself,

Despite the miracles

That pass my narrow mind.

(This poem was written in memory of Princess Diana. It was not meant to be a great work of art, but to reflect the Princess as she is in many's eyes. Untitled)

The sun, was she

warming every heart she touched

With her caring, giving hand.

The ocean, was she

Reaching to those in need

To every far away land.

She was the moon

A glowing light

Downplaying the darkness

In the darkest night.

A princess, she was

Often unseen

But to many, much more

She was a hero, a savior

A queen.

(In memory of Princess Diana, who went to great lengths to help those in need, and who perished in a fatal car crash on the tragic day of August 30th 1997 at the young age of 36)
