Jennifer's Quote
Jennifer Shue, one of my friends, has this quote at the bottom of all her e-mails: "When you come to the edge of all the light you have known, and are about to step out into darkness, Faith is knowing one of two things will happen -- there will be something to stand on, or you will be taught how to fly." This is a very powerful, meaningful quote. If you put your trust completely in God, and give him your open heart, ready to listen, anything is possible. People who don't know Christ just can't know this, because they have a completely different point of view than that of Christians. When I became a Christian last year, I realized that God doesn't only give you salvation from eternity in Hell (sorry this is so blunt, but it's true), he also gives you love and a whole new perspective on life. My outlook in life is a lot brighter, and I'm really full of joy that I know God. This love and perspective came from a complete trust in God -- the kind of trust and faith shown in my friend's e-mail quote.
This quote helped someone!!
"SoCool Bob" came to my site looking for another candidate for his "Cowpie" award, and he read this quote. He had been going through particularly bad times when he read this. Bob put Jennifer's quote at the top of his "Hard Times" page, and he sent me an e-mail with this at the bottom:
"Thanks Again [for the quote]
The quote comes at a particularly timely time
I choose to deal with the latest episode of differences between me
and another
And that is the strength I was looking for
Now I'll carry it always
In Jesus Name"
Here's an award he asked me to post with the quote:
