Local singer Kit Chan sure left an indelible impression on heavenly king, Jacky Cheung. After collaborating with him on his highly-acclaimed musical Snow Wolf Lake, apparently the Hongkong king of pop has been singing nothing but her praises. This has made Kit's foray into the Cantopop music scene much easier. She easily captured the fussy attention of Hongkongers earlier this year with her debut release 'Revelation' and is set to steal more in this follow-up recording. It's amazing how she managed, in record-time (less than 5 months to be specific) to come up with an album of considerably high standards. And she didn't do a short cut by merely translating her previous Chinese tunes either. Obviously seeking a breakthrough from her Mandarin albums, this homegrown talent shows off her versatility from alternative to new age to dance. Lots of great tunes like 'Loved By You' and 'Mysterious' abound. Mesmerised by her Mandarin hit 'Appointment'? Then fast forward to 'Waiting For You To Say I Love You'. Penned by Nathan Wong (who's written the score for several of Walt Disney's animated films), this song boasts full-orchestral arrangement, pushing the petite singer to put her powerful vocals to good use. Good news too for those who miss her Mandarin tunes, this local version comes with 2 middle-of-the road numbers which have been selected as themes for the TCS serial Driven By Car (Yu Wang Lie Che).
