Fans of Kit Chan’s will embrace this long overdue Mandarin recording with open arms. As a result of some contractual problem with her recording company and her former distribution company, Pony Canyon, Kit could only record in Cantonese, giving rise to the birth of her very successful Cantonese recordings, Revelation and Dreams And Memories were released almost back to back. Now that the tussle is over, Kit is back to compete in the Mandarin music market. So far, this recording has won her endless streams of accolades. Experience Kit’s anguish in the opening track, ‘To Love Again’. It comes across especially evident when she repeats the chorus, begging for a second chance on love, "Let me love once more, let me act out the scene I want, telling lies, scripting it in my own way to comfort myself. Well, does it matter to you?" Following this is the familiar, ‘Waiting Endlessly’ a song from the mega Cantonese musical, Snow Wolf Lake which till now is still proudly associated with this local talent. With a new arrangement, this Cantonese song is now crooned in Mandarin with Kit’s rich emotions. Another track not to be missed is ‘Missed The Date’. The grand orchestral arrangement would make this a hit with those who are into musicals. Be prepared to see and hear more of Kit in the near future as she prepares for another musical Legend based on the life of the late Taiwanese singer, Teresa Teng.
