O.K. HERE ARE SOME PIC'S OF THE AREA WHERE WE LIVE.

Here is a small raptor sitting in a dead tree. Most
likely looking for something to eat.

This mountain looks like a big plug to me but
Myra says it looks like a barn with a silo.

A desiccated cow - what you would expect in the
desert.

Wanted to show what the high desert looks like
after the monsoon season ..

This  flower  was on  a  vine  -  this vine  covered
large areas  including other plants.

As you can see livestock  -  all the pictures were
taken in a two  hour period.

There were lots of these Locusts(?) on the road  - we
think they hatched (?) due to the rains.  As you can
see they are cannibalistic...

More gorgeous views - of the west  side of the
Huachuca Mountains.

More of the same.

Etc.

Someday I'll know some if not all of the flowers in the
desert - as of now your guess is as good as mine.

Sunflower (?)

Size of  flower bout one to two inches. looks like a
pinwheel.

More scenery.

Scenery,
To get to this area, we went out the back (west) gate
of Ft. Huachuca. There is a good road for the first 4-5 miles then there is a somewhat passable road that will
take you to Parker Lake. It is a nice drive.
At the lake you can rent small boats and go fishing.
We may try it one of these days.
I will put up some photos of our house, inside and out tomorrow.
Bye for now  .... TOM AND MYRA
