FISH 'N' CHIPS OVER READING
The people of Reading wake up one morining to find that a huge fish 'n'
chips-shaped object is hovering over their fair town. This giant
space-fish 'n' chips broadcasts the message "We Slide in chaos, " and
then flattens Reading with their violate-o-ray.
Our hero, Tony, is an ex-international man of mystery who now drives a
Cab. Tony teams up with Natalie, played by Kristy McNichol, an irascable
Gynecolologist, and Jimmy and Sophie, two cute kids who have stowed away
in the trunk of Tony's Cab.
They scour Reading's rubble for survivors and come face to face with the
space fish 'n' chips's crew - hyper-evolved time-jumping Lugubrioraptors.
These pre-historic lizards kill using a claw attached to their arm.
Tony's group is chased to an abandoned Theme Park, and their gorey deaths
seem sure. However, Tony uses his expert knowledge of shagging to lure
the Lugubrioraptors under a 21" monitor, where they are forced to watch
repeats of "Dad's Army".
Tony decides to get rid of these time-jumping dino-jerks once and for
all. The Gynecologist designs a computer virus that will turn the space
fish 'n' chips's computer-liver into cabbage. Tony, who it turns out
flew a 747 in Viet Nam, discovers that Reading's local President is not
only alive, but is actually a fighter pilot/agent for the FBI. While the
computer virus disables the space fish 'n' chips, Tony and the FBI
agent/President launch an aerial assault against the Space fish 'n' chips
which sends it crashing into Reading's local the Atlantic ocean.
Tony has saved Reading from an alien invasion, but as he looks into the
morning sun with Natalie he knows that the Lugubrioraptors will be back.
