Well Hello again! It has been some time now hasn't it! Well lets see what has been happening in the wonderful world of Harold… ;-)

I am currently going through a somewhat messy divorce, but don't feel bad, it is a long time coming and really the best thing for everyone involved.

I spent July through December in Kuwait and over all it was a pretty good tour of duty. I am looking forward to going back there whenever I can. Believe it or not it isn't too bad of a place.

Since returning to the states, I have been trying to get my divorce paperwork straight and get my life back on track. In February I started seeing a therapist and started taking Porzac… Can't really say that it has been helping much, but I suppose it will take time. I have also moved into the Barracks. Kind of a small place but I am doing alright here, and it is less stressful and depressing than living at the house and sleeping on the loveseat.

Well that is about it for now… Not much for 3 months, but hopefully the future holds better things. I have to believe that it does… It can only get better from here!

Take care, and a special thanx to all my Friends and Family out there for helping me through all the tough times. J

WELL!!! Here I am BACK in Kuwait!!! I haven't put anything in here for a while, so I will try to catch you up...

I left Kuwait on May 10th after roughly 3 months. I was glad to go because I missed the kids and I was asked my my friends Chuck and Melissa Wheeler to be the Godfather to their daughter Catarina, and the Christening was on the 16th. I can't tell you how much it meant to me that they would ask me, and I was so worried that I wouldn't make it back in time.

I got home and spent a few days with the family and then jetted off to NY on the 15th. Unfortunately the kids were still in school, I would have liked to bring them up to see Grandma.

Well, I got into town and got settled. Melissa Graduated from Pharmacy school on the morning of the 16th and the Christening was in the evening. We had a great day, lots of family stuff, it was fun. I was very nervous about the Christening but all went well, and I didn't drop the baby! After the little family get-together we (Chuck, Melissa, Chuck's sister Cheryl, Melissa's sister Susan and myself) decided to go out and have some fun. We went to Dockers which is always packed on Saturday nights (3 for 1 drinks) and had a ball dancin the night away. We left dockers (I don't remember when... somewhere after the 5 round of 3 for 1's) and hit Cruisers... I don't remember much after that except we went to Denny's for breakfast... and I couldn't get the back door unlocked (I SWEAR there was a problem with the key!) so I slept on the swing in the back yard.

The rest of the visit was much more sedate. There were some down points, but lets not dwell on that.

On the 22 Heidi (My Niece)'s Boyfriend was racing at the local dirt track and Pam (my sister) asked if I wanted to go along. "Sure" I said... Little did I know... :-)

I haven't been to Ransomeville raceway for YEARS. It was pretty cool. Steve was in the third race (qualifier) starting second from last. He steadily made his way up and was in fourth place on the last lap. Well in the last turn of the last lap he is making his move for third... He takes the turn a little wide and tries to cut it in... The front end dips down (that is the only way I can explain it)... And suddenly he is flipping and rolling... They said it was probably the worse crash they EVER had there (30+years). Steve walked away with out a scrach, but the car was TOTALED (except for some parts my Niece had just bought that miracurisouly survived). He had a REAL sturdy cage... As I said... He walked away without a scrach (a little shaken of course). I told him that if he could have flipped it a couple more times he would have crossed the finish line (and MIGHT have taken third!). They had a demo derby at the end of the races and after that the guys from the Deom were sitting around staring at it going "WOW".

The funny part was "Eveil Keneveil" (steve) goes to work the next day at another track, they had some go-cart races or something and gets his leg caught push starting the go cart... Gets dragged 75' and screws up his ankle. I told him he BETTER tell everyone that that happened in HIS accident the day before. :-)

I spent a few days with my sister Pam, watched some movies (she watched "Chasing Amy" without ever seeing "Clerks" or "MallRats" {The Heathen} so I HAD to introduce her to them), worked on her 'puter a bit, got the &^(**&^)^_^%* beat out of me on GameStation by my Nephews (Nick and Chris), and went down to the local "Show your car off" night at "The Infield". There were some NICE cars there.

I also spent some time im Mom's Garden doing some "landscaping" (if you could call it that). Mom makes me work to pay for my room and boad. ;-)

Another high point of my vacation was the "VERTIGO/plasticplacepeople" show at Rivoli in Toronto. In case you don't know, I run "The (Currently UN)Official Platinum Blonde Web Site(shameful Plug). I was just amazed that this great band didn't have a site... anyway... I set up the site and have recieved a pretty good response. Two of the people that have written me are from the group "plasticplacepeople". Their band is on the same label "Orange Alert" as Mark Holmes and Sascha (forner singer and drummer of Platinum Blonde)'s band Vertigo. Actually it is Mark's Label! When they found out I would be in town the invited me to one of their shows. It was GREAT, both of these bands are GREAT!!! I got to meet with them back stage and get pictures (unfortunately only 1 came out).
