Requiem for fools that fall in love

Once upon a time so the story goes
another love poem another love song
a familiar ending that people knows
may once been forgotten but not for long.

What begins well doesn't always ends well
as Romeo and Juliet can see
that forbidden love is a living hell
to live or love and die which one to be?

The story ends so cry you a river
to drown your sorrow it may take a lake
to break your heart a sad poem delivers
driving deep into your soul like a stake.

   Once upon a time a sad story ends
   When fools fall in love the cycle begins.
