Characteristics

Positive: Intuitive, kind, compassionate and helpful are all characteristics of Cancer. They're also protective, helpful, caring and sensitive to need, and have a good memory.

Negative: Cancer may be possessive, moody and crabby, they get hurt easily, are overpowering and can be manipulative and selfish. Will hold on to insults.

Cancer & Love

Behaviour: Rarely makes the first move, for fear of being rejected. Retreats and hurts deeply at any sigh of ridicule or criticism, but will respond well to honesty and affection. Romantic, and becomes deeply attached to a loved one, and will think of the loved one first.

Expectations: Looks for long term love; likes their cooking to be appreciated; family comes first before anything else; to feel needed for their strength. Cancer also looks for unshakable loyalty and devotion.

The Break-Up: Emotions and the need for love can lead to relationship problems. Cancer often feels they are lacking deserved love, and make high demands on their partner. Cancer tends to cling to their partner, and will become hurt if they don't get the attention they demand.

Opposite Sign: Capricorn is the complementary opposite sign to Cancer. Capricorn can help Cancer distinguish reality from imagination.
