Indie Windie Walker's Top Telly Recommendations

The magical box of wonders

As you might know already, I love telly. That's one of the reasons why I want to be presenter on the BBC (also the money has got to be good, innit!). Anyway, here's a list of the must-see programmes on the box.

  1. Tellytubbies: Tinky Winky, Dipsy, Laa-Laa and Po, you've captured the hearts of the nation. Never leave us!
  2. The Fast Show: 'Oh, suit you, Sir!', 'This week I have been mostly eating…', 'Hmmm, isn't it? Small boys, in the park, coats as goal posts…', this show is BRILLIANT!
  3. The X Files
  4. Match Of The Day
  5. Football Focus
  6. Friends: Chandler, Monica, Ross, Rachel, Joey and Phoebe, this show is top telly!
  7. Room 101: Totally brilliant and witty, Nick Hancock at his best (But he's also brill on They Think It's All Over too!)
  8. They Think It's All Over: Nick Hancock, David Gower, Lee Hurst, Gary Lineker and Rory McGrath, this show just cracks me up! My best episode is the one with Teddy Sheringham (boo, hiss!) and Frank Skinner as the special guests! Oh, I couldn't stop laughing, especially when Lee Hurst was trying to impersonate Eric Cantona and Teddy thought Lee was trying to be Jean-Claude Van Damme! Duh, you prat!
  9. Frasier: The star of the show has to be Eddie the Dog! Give him his own show!
  10. Whose Line Is It Anyway?: One of Channel Four's best programmes
  11. EastEnders: Shows what it's like to be a Londoner
  12. Reboot: Alphanumeric!
  13. TFI Friday: Lurve this show! Especially with Wiiill and Nathan (Ickle Chris). Totty!
  14. Father Ted: I absolutely love this show! Father Dougal Maguire just cracks me up! And Father Jack, 'Feck', 'Girls', 'Nuns? Aaaaaaaggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhh!'. And Mrs. Doyle, oh she should just get an Oscar!
  15. The Big Breakfast: A great show to prepare you for the dreary day ahead with its brightness and bubbliness.
  16. Goodness Gracious Me: This show is soooooo funny! Asian comedy at its best! I especially like 'Smitta Smitten, Showbiz Kitten', Miaow, pussycats!
  17. This Morning with Richard not Judy: This show brightens up my boring Sundays. I totally love the Organ Gang, Curious Orange and the fact that the businessman is sick, with his suit and tie (You have to watch the show to understand).
  18. Never Mind The Buzzcocks: The format is like They Think It's All Over but is a tad less funny and it's about music, not sport.
  19. Brookside: 'ey, 'ey, 'ey, calm down, calm down!
  20. Fantasy Football League: Yes, I know that it doesn't come on any more, but I still love it! I mean, David Baddiel and Frank Skinner started the Jason Lee 'He's got an pineapple on his head' chant on the football terraces. (AS THIS WAS PUBLISHED, THE SHOW RETURNED! HUZZARH!)
  21. Bottom: I love this show, Rik Mayall and Ade Edminson at their best!
  22. The Adam and Joe Show: I can't look at my cuddly toys again after watching that show! Hate Baaddad, does NOT appreciate good music!
  23. Dexter's Laboratory: This cartoon is soooooo funny! Dee Dee should never change! What I want to know is when did Dexter have the time to build his lab, and how did he build it without his parents discovering? Also, the spin-offs are brill as well, e.g. Dial M for Monkey.
  24. South Park: This show is the Master! I especially love Chef, he can bake my cookies anyday!
  25. The Powerpuff Girls: They are Girls Wit' Attitude! Blossom's the sensible one, Bubbles's the oh-so-cute one and Buttercup is the no-nonsense one. The city of Townsville is a safer place with these girls around, and they still go to Kindergarden!
  26. Sunset Beach: That's right, I'm a British Sunset Beacher! The storylines may be shite, but it's so hilarious, that you get hooked! Ah, Father Fit, he can give me communion anyday!
  27. Sabrina the Teenage Witch: You gotta love that gal, all those powers AND a cool social life, what more do you need?
