church photo
I came across this shot while driving around Meta, MO one evening. I liked how the stairs looked as though they led right to the church and the overcast sky gave a somber mood. This is one of my favorite pictures because this is the church my father attended as a child.

bluff photo
This picture was taken along the bluffs overlooking the Missouri River near Jefferson City, MO in the fall of '97. This was the first time I'd experimented shooting with slide film. I was very impressed with the vibrant colors I achieved using slide film. But I wasn't impressed with the hassle and amount of money I had to spend to get prints made!

rosebush photo
This photo was taken in Ste. Genevieve, MO in the spring of '97. I had visited Ste. Gen. for their annual French Heritage Festival. Being the oldest established town in Missouri, there was much to explore and learn. I highly recommend a bottle of Concord from the Ste. Genevieve Winery.

river photo
I took this picture one evening in the summer of '97 on the boat ramp at the Osage River. I would love to tell you where at on the Osage, but we had been roadtripping all day and just stumbled upon this spot. I particularly love this picture because of the contrast of light and dark.

brick street photo
I saw this scene while driving in Columbia, MO. It looked so serene and peaceful even though it was a quick left turn off of one of the busiest streets in town. I'm sure the people who were driving behind me were not thrilled at my sudden braking to capture this on film! I know this because of the middle finger they offered as they passed me.

country farm
I was forced to take this picture by a friend. He wanted a picture of the tiller-thingy, so I got a composition with the old farm house in the background and snapped the shot. When I got the photo's processed, I fell in love with this one. I'm sure glad he made me take the picture!
