Do Angels Cry

A sweet child once told me
She thought it was wrong to cry
In her innocent wisdom she told me
Angels don’t cry

My thought was to ask myself
Do angels really cry and the thought
Turned to crystal insight and realized
Angels do cry and their tears are the rain

The rain of angel’s tears is a light rain
It cools and cleanses all human pain
It gives life to the flowers and streams
It fills the fields and lakes

The light of a child’s tears is
Like the Amber glow of grace
From the gentle and sweet smile
On that tiny Amber’s face
