Swoon
Das Amour de Swoon
I fell into your eyes smiling all
the way.
Take off my cape of fear, let
out my heart
to play.
Oh what I did not know, with
ignorance
all holds at bay.
I took your hand to dance,
hearing not
what shadows say.
You danced like no one
before, to the
Careless Whisper a song to
haunt me
now more than it did before,
Oh the infidelity.
It was there the swoon began.
Oh how they danced around
us in the
way Ive always danced.
And now Im dancing in a way
that
I rarely seen and often dreamed
In my left hand was in her
right.
My lips were near her ear, her
breath
was in mine.
My hand in the small, hers in
the broad
of my back.
With the scent of her hair and
the motion
of our bodies the release
began.
My soul unfettered from my
limbs
reached out to see her heart,
oh how its
filled with pain, to touch its
much like
mine, with a touch you make it
smile.
I flew as there was no floor,
I was sinking as there was no
shore,
I expanded as there was no
bounds,
I awakened as there was no
sleep,
I wished to cry for the lack of
things
of which to weep
In her eyes were fields on fire,
passion was raising its arms to
part
the sea of inhibition and
succeeded.
Oh how I longed to be a
vampire,
for the intimacy of my teeth in
her
skin.
To take her mortal blood so
that
I may sustain long enough to
bring
her across to my sexless love.
To dance in the light of the
reflected sun
forever, pale as its light
forever embracing
every hour of the night.
I wanted this so much in truth
I almost
bit her.
Then again to her pain, her
voice rang out
Im never gonna dance again
the way I danced with you.
I was ecstatic, not yet the
third moment
since we met and yet she
proclaims her
betrayal.
Tighter and tighter hands
closing and
opening on clothed and naked
flesh.
Lips swollen against cheeks
filled with
our blood.
The mountain shuddered as it
longed
to fall into the sea, to create a
multitude
of islands, so they may grow
into
nations
Ah the spirit is willing but the
flesh
would fall upon itself in
madness to
writhe useless pleasures from
itself
Her body pressed against
mine as if
she was trying to enter into
me and
loose herself. Oh how willing I
was to
absorb her.
Now her eyes would not meet
mine.
As the music died something
in
your eyes calls to mind a
silver screen longest
sad goodbye
Ha ha damn you bliss, this is
where all
good things come to an end.
The slow song faded as honor
demanded
as my heart demanded I kissed
her hand.
In this moment all my
delusions of ecstasy
and passion were destroyed.
My taste of her skin was to be
a taste of
forbidden love.
My lips pressed against the
coldest metal
I could ever know. The gold
ring of
another mans wife.
Was it disbelief of stupidity
that made me ask:
Are you married?
I will never relive that moment
to know.
Her answer was yes, and so all
this heart
spoken passion becomes no
pun childish lust;
for in the threshod of puberty
I could be
her child.
So now I wander with this
curse on my
back. Ive betrayed my honor
but not the law
of man.
Ah but agian Ive learned and
agian Ive
written.
With all my love
