These pics were taking while I was running in the 2002 Tely 10... Thats a annual road race that takes place here in NF, and is 10 miles long... The race started at Acan Windows in Paradise and ended at Bannerman Park downtown... not your everyday stroll... I finished with a time of 1:18:29, which was better then I thought I'd do seeing how it was my first time ever running such a distance... This placed me 21st in my age category (men aged 20-24) and overall 416th out of close to 1300 participants or something... Here I am... this one was taken in the same spot as the previous one, its on Topsail Rd., almost out by the village. I might look tired there but it was shortly after that I found my second wind and started blowing by people! This might have been my downfall too, b/c close to the end this wind gave out and people started passing me... haha!
Here I am at he finish line! It was the best feeling in the world when that finish came into site and hundreds of people were standing around cheering you on! I was pretty tired... and no that isn't all sweat, most of it is the water I poured over my head!! Haha i was sore for a few days afterwards but it was worth it and I think I will do it again next year!
