My Favourite Five
The following are my five favourite search engines. For simple, unimportant searches, google remains my go-to search engine for its speed and breadth of coverage. Dogpile was the first metasearch engine that I discovered, and am still very loyal to it. I find the ability to preview pages before navigating to them to be perticularly useful. It helps me to make a split-second decision and avoid disreputable pages, while exposing me to sites that I might not have otherwise clicked. Of all the cluster-styled search interfaces, Clusty is my favorite due to its clean, intuitive interface, and consistently speedy and concise results. I personaly find the ability to utilize all of the most powerful features of most major search engines through such a simple interface to be an indispensable tool.
