Jesus, Savior, pilot me
Over life's tempestuous sea
Chart and compass come from Thee
Jesus, Savior, pilot me.

This is the day the Lord has made. What was the happiest day of your life? A wedding, a birth, a promotion, a new house, a walk in the woods? Imagine yourself back in that day... Were there people with you? Did you laugh aloud, quietly smile, or cry with joy? Did you tell your friends and family you were having a great day, and know that you wuold always remember it?

Now, thinking back, did you remember to thank God? To thank Him for that day, which He made for you? To thank Him for all of the things in your life which He has made right for you, to come together on that one wonderful day? To thank Him for your life, for your countless blessings, for His endless love and understanding, and forgiveness? Did you thank Him for giving his only Son to live and die for you? And did you thank Jesus for his life and death, his love for you and gift of life eternal?

This, and every day, is the day the Lord has made.

All my trust on Thee is stayed
All my help from Thee I bring
Cover my defenseless head
With the cover of Thy wing.
