If there's one question we are often asked, it isn't " How did the jkfp develop over time?" Well, we've taken a little time, a little space and a little hint from the One Day At A TimeLINE and created a...

historic milestones of

Neolithic era

a fine hunt was had by all

The first version of jkfp, known at the time as jarrh & woman's wall of great beasts, came into being at this time.

Ancient cave paintings shown here reveal a factoid about the good hunt.

630 BC

this may be a tale about "trash day"

Egyptian papyrus is cut, dried and loaded on camels. Only one of the original four camels makes the journey through the desert to the caves of Nebuchadnezzar where the writings of yore are transcribed into hieroglyphics now entitled Shabtis of James Ra & Kim Ba. Hieroglyphics, sadly, were not fully understood 50 years after the fall of ancient Egypt.

30 BC

do not eat me, for i am vermin

Owing greatly to the Greek slave known as Aesop, the lessons of jkfp were carried on orally. In accordance with the "flavor of the month," the tales, now collectively known as Lo, the Gods may Smite You, still dealt mostly with animals.

This is a early 17th century depiction of Kim's dream of the lion and the mouse. Sadly, the moral of the story is long forgotten. We think it was something like "a mouse is a small meal for a lion."

29 BC - 1043 AD

i denote "word of mouth" but i am a salesman in real life

jkfp reverts to word of mouth for a several hundred years. But realistically, not much was going on during this period.

Long-regaled tales of courageous heroes, villainous foes and tragic morals are transcribed in great detail by Franciscan monks in the Woeful Sins of Chammes & Kymme.

These were not widely disseminated because they were written in Latin.

1456

guten is on the left, berg is on the right

With the invention of Gutenberg's press the The Word of Jhammes & Khimm in 42 Lines is meticulously published in the people's language, archaic German.

1555

merte, what ryhmes with renaissance

Nostradamus writes Quatrain 43 in Centurie VII:

From a suburb the city of the Marshland,
(The "city" is thought to be Washington, D.C., which was originally built by British soldiers on swampland. Nostradamus amazingly predicts the establishment of suburbs, too.)
Lightning harnessed will be read
(the 'net)
And a book of Thought, Dreams and a thousand words
(jkfp)
shall be casually observed
(low readership)
Before Hellfire and BoxJam return to wreak the Apocalyptic terror
(?)
Mercury in Sagittarius, Saturn fading
(late summer)
Yup
(The year is likely either 1982--when the term "yuppie" was coined or 2012--the year the dreaded Yup are due to take over the Earth.)

1556-1897

hi, me again. i sell brushes.

jkfp again reverts to word of mouth for a few hundred years.

1898

ever read the yellow kid? great comic from the turn of the last century

Some historical reports claim the Freedom Bell of James & Kim hastened our participation in the Spanish American war. Nuts to that!

1964

keep on truckin' has been copyrighted, the revolution is over

For a brief period, James & Kim's Legalize it! was a popular free press. It contained mostly stories about a lifestyle of leisure.

1973

that tube on the right cost $35 to replace

This is a file photo of the transponder from JKRAD James & Kim's Free Radio Experience. As it tuned out, pirate radio was not as glamorous as one might imagine. Sure, in between cutting edge Hard Rock Cafe reports, we could play bands that other stations dared not: Flock of Seagulls, Thompson Twins, KIX, Little River Band to name a few, while other stations were playing R.E.M., Lou Reed, Television, Patty Smith and other inessentials.

The radio part was alright, it was manning the WWII surplus radio ship in Hudson that was the hard part. She eventually sank and all our equipment was lost.

At the Internet grand opening with its inventors, the site known as 100086.98002.23040 celebrates some popularity among mostly defense contractors. Favorite articles are:

With funding almost out, the modern james & kim's fun page is forced to move to its current location, free space on geocities.

Early incarnations were mainly lists of jokes, the Watch List and "cool" things. We are proud to report the the jkfp was the first to have the guts to write about:
